A Little Irritated with WinCo Foods.....

My intent is not to rant and rave on this blog, but I just had to make sure to give everyone a heads up - especially if you shop at WinCo Foods.  For many years, they have had a policy of NOT accepting Internet coupons.  Well, recently they posted a policy stating that they would now be honored.  As you can imagine, I was thoroughly excited by this.

Today, however, my bubble was burst.  I was kindly informed by a cashier that they DO NOT accept Internet coupons that come from Smart Source.  My response: Are you kidding me!  I showed her my copy of the policy I had printed up almost immediately after it was released.  She called up a manager who reiterated what she had said.  Long story short, I let them win the battle (it just wasn't worth the $2 I would have saved).

I just searched the site to see if any revisions had been made to their policy and guess what I found?  They removed it!  Instead they have posted this:

Q: Do you accept internet coupons? A: WinCo Foods will accept internet coupons, so long as they have a bar code that can be scanned into our system. Internet coupons must also meet all of the above requirements and may be subject to an extra level of scrutiny at the registers with the goal of verifying their legitimacy. *WinCo Foods reserves the right to deny any coupon at any time.

Can you imagine?  In either case - heads up!
