Preventing Swimmer's Ear

Swimmer's ear is an infection of the exterior of the ear and ear canal caused by excess moisture in the ear.  It can be treated by combining equal parts of vinegar and rubbing alcohol.  Store in a small jar with a tight fitting lid.  Using an ear dropper, apply 1 or 2 drops in each ear 3 times a day during swimming season to prevent infection. However, DO NOT use this treatment if you suspect an inner ear infection.  This condition must be treated by a doctor as soon as possible.
